I'm also not sure what kind of bobby pins they were using, but they were very flimsy, and my hair (and one of my bridesmaids' hair) fell out for no reason before I even stepped outside for my first look. I also would have expected they'd quickly pop their heads in the room I was sitting in to say bye (which they had to walk past to get out of the building). Every other wedding I've been in, the hair and makeup artists call everyone in for touch ups, but we didn't get that (I would have thought they'd at least check if the bride needed a touch up). However, the team left very abruptly (an hour before they were scheduled to finish) while I was one room over eating lunch, and they didn't tell me they were leaving. Everyone's hair and makeup looked great right after they were done. Waiting for my mom and MIL to arrive for their hair and makeup.

We played music and danced and sang in our hotel suite at Gurney’s, and it was all a lot of fun. The team is also really down-to-earth and we had a lot of fun with them.

I’ve seen girls clean their entire face of makeup off, or re-do their entire hairdo in the bathroom after paying hundreds of dollars because the professional just didn’t capture their look or style. This made me feel so good because I’ve been a bridesmaid in 6 other weddings, and that is certainly not always the case. Really importantly, my girls all said they loved their looks too.
#Glitz and glam skin
I had about 11 lovely ladies - all with different hair and skin types, and of varying ages - who also wanted hair/makeup services that day, so we had 2 hair dressers and 2 makeup artists travel to Newport, RI and work for about 4 hours to get us all looking fabulous. The colors she chose were perfect for my skin tone and reddish hair. They worked with me through two trials to get it right, and when I took a look at myself in the mirror on our wedding day, all I could say was, “Wow!” I felt so beautiful! My makeup was perfect too - not overdone but just the level of drama I was after. Attic Treasures is owned and operated by Assistance League of Atlanta, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.Jessica and Melanie and the entire Glitz and Glam team were fantastic.
